According to a court filing on May 14 by Baldoni\u2019s lawyer Bryan Freedman, Lively allegedly asked Swift to delete certain text messages and threatened to leak private conversations if Swift didn\u2019t back her publicly. Freedman described these threats as \u201cinappropriate and apparently extortionate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"858\">Lively\u2019s lawyer, Mike Gottlieb, responded strongly, calling the allegations \u201ccategorically false\u201d and \u201ccowardly sourced to anonymous sources.\u201d He accused Baldoni\u2019s legal team of making baseless claims without evidence and said motions will be filed to hold them accountable for what he called misconduct.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"860\" data-end=\"1202\">Taylor Swift\u2019s team has distanced her from the controversy, emphasizing that Swift had no involvement beyond licensing her song <em data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1007\">My Tears Ricochet<\/em> for the film\u2019s soundtrack.
