Fans got a big surprise when Disney announced at their recent upfront event in New York that Ritter will reprise her role in <em data-start=\"348\" data-end=\"371\">Daredevil: Born Again<\/em> season 2, joining her longtime co-star Charlie Cox.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"766\">Ritter, known for playing the tough, no-nonsense Jessica Jones in the original Netflix series, expressed her excitement about coming back after three seasons of <em data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"601\">Jessica Jones<\/em> and <em data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"621\">The Defenders<\/em>. She teased fans by saying there\u2019s a lot more in store for her character, promising an \u201cincredible season\u201d without giving away too many details.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"1162\">Jessica Jones first appeared in the 2015 Netflix Marvel universe, alongside other popular shows like <em data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"880\">Daredevil<\/em>, <em data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"893\">Luke Cage<\/em>, <em data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"906\">Iron Fist<\/em>, and <em data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"926\">The Punisher<\/em>. All these shows built toward <em data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"972\">The Defenders<\/em>, a team-up of these heroes.
