There\u2019s a messy legal fight going on between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over the upcoming movie It Ends With Us<\/em>, and now\u2014unexpectedly\u2014Taylor Swift has been pulled into the drama. But she\u2019s clearly not having any of it.<\/p>\n

Recently, Swift received a legal subpoena, which is basically a court order asking her to hand over documents or evidence. Her legal team, who\u2019ve been working with her for over a decade, fired back on May 12, asking the court to cancel the subpoena altogether. Their message was loud and clear: Taylor Swift has nothing<\/em> to do with this movie or the legal mess around it.<\/p>\n

The law firm representing Swift, Venable LLP, argued that the subpoena was not only irrelevant to the case, but also a way to harass and overwhelm people who aren\u2019t even involved. They pointed out that if there are<\/em> any documents worth looking at, they should come directly from Blake Lively or Ryan Reynolds\u2014not from Swift or her lawyers.<\/p>\n

In their words, the subpoena served \u201cno real legal purpose\u201d and was just a tactic to \u201cdistract from the facts\u201d and dump unnecessary pressure on someone completely unrelated to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are backing Swift\u2019s stance too. In a court statement filed on May 13, they said Justin Baldoni was twisting the legal process and unfairly targeting people outside the actual dispute. They described it as an \u201cabuse of the discovery process\u201d\u2014which is just a fancy way of saying he\u2019s misusing the court\u2019s rules to go after people who shouldn\u2019t be involved.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s own spokesperson didn\u2019t hold back either. They accused Baldoni of trying to use Taylor\u2019s name as a publicity stunt\u2014to grab headlines and stir up online buzz, instead of focusing on the real legal issues.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s this legal fight all about?<\/p>\n

It all started when Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment. Baldoni denied the allegations and responded with a countersuit, saying Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds defamed him. He even accused them of leveraging their friendship with Swift to influence the situation.<\/p>\n

In court documents, Baldoni pointed to texts where Lively supposedly referred to Swift and Reynolds as her \u201cdragons,\u201d implying they were backing her up behind the scenes and plotting against him.<\/p>\n
