Some of the fans of Dave Chappelle\u2019s fans did not find it funny when comedian weighed in on Israel\u2019s ongoing war with Hamas militants in Gaza.<\/p>\n
A number of attendees even left the venue when Chappelle criticised Israel\u2019s role in the war during his Thursday night show at TD Garden in Boston.<\/p>\n
As reported by Wall Street Journal, the dramatic moments began when Chappelle referred to Israel\u2019s counter-attack against Hamas as \u201cwar crimes\u201d and also accused the country of slaughtering innocent civilians.<\/p>\n
Although, the 50-year-old had earlier condemned the attack by Hamas on October 7th, he criticised the Israeli government order of besieging Gaza which has cut off water, food and other essential items in the enclaved Palestine.<\/p>\n
He also expressed that students should not be denied job offers because of their decision to support Palestine, which prompted a heckler to yell \u201cshut up\u201d at Chappelle.<\/p>\n
Audience members were torn by the remarks, with some cheering \u201cFree Palestine\u201d while other chanted \u201cWhat about Hamas?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe audience was cheering Chappelle on during his tirade. I was sick. We were sick,\u201d one attendee posted on social media, as per Daily Mail.
