Meghan Markle\u2019s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., has announced that he\u2019s working on a tell-all book from his current home in the Philippines, where he\u2019s also looking after their father, Thomas Markle Sr., who is now 80 and dealing with ongoing health issues.<\/p>\n
In an interview with The Mirror<\/em>, the 58-year-old shared that his book is well underway and he\u2019s confident it will attract quick attention once released. He\u2019s also planning to turn the story into a documentary after the book is out. \u201cWhen my book is finished, ooh it\u2019ll be swooped up real quick,\u201d he said, emphasizing that the project is moving forward and he\u2019s determined to make it good.<\/p>\n While Markle Jr. claimed his main motivation is to tell his truth rather than make money, he did admit that any income from the book would be welcome. \u201cIt\u2019s about the principle,\u201d he explained, before adding, \u201cit would be nice to have a nice little cushion from selling a book.\u201d<\/p>\n He also noted that there seems to be strong public demand for the story. Now based on Cebu Island\u2014thousands of miles away from Meghan and Prince Harry\u2014he says he finally has the time and space to write, especially while caring for their father, who struggles with mobility.<\/p>\n Markle Jr. has been critical of Meghan in the past, especially when it comes to how she\u2019s portrayed her childhood. He accused her of exaggerating claims of hardship in her Netflix docuseries With Love, Meghan<\/em>, where she suggested she faced financial struggles growing up.
