The new trailer for Materialists<\/em> gives us a sneak peek into a tangled love story involving Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal. This A24 film, directed by Oscar-nominee Celine Song, is already one of the most talked-about movies coming out this year.<\/p>\n

The story centers around Lucy (played by Johnson), an ambitious matchmaker who seems to have mastered the art of pairing others up but struggles with her own love life. According to the official summary, Lucy\u2019s business is thriving\u2014until she finds herself caught in a complicated and toxic love triangle with a perfect new man and her flawed ex. This messy situation starts to put her clients\u2019 happiness at risk.<\/p>\n

The trailer starts by showing Lucy at work, juggling her matchmaking clients with confidence and skill. A voiceover says, \u201cNo one plays the game better than Lucy, but love isn\u2019t part of her equation,\u201d hinting that while she\u2019s a pro at setting others up, her own heart is a different story.<\/p>\n
