Her attorney, Mike Gottlieb, confirmed to <em data-start=\"283\" data-end=\"291\">PEOPLE<\/em> that Lively will take the stand, calling it \u201cthe ultimate moment for a plaintiff\u2019s story to be told.\u201d He emphasized, \u201cOf course, she\u2019s going to testify.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"447\" data-end=\"748\">Lively first filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024. In response, Baldoni filed a defamation and extortion countersuit, turning the case into what the court has described as a \u201csensationalized PR battle.\u201d The conflict has since escalated into a high-profile legal showdown.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"750\" data-end=\"1075\">Speculation over Lively\u2019s testimony intensified in April when she delivered an emotional speech at the TIME100 Gala. There, she recounted how her mother survived a violent attack by a colleague\u2014a harrowing story Lively linked to her own recent experiences, saying she had \u201cso much to say about the last two years of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1353\">Gottlieb also stated that Lively won\u2019t be the only one to testify.
