In the May 6, 2025 episode of Days of Our Lives<\/em>, Doug visits the pub to apply for a job. He\u2019s visibly nervous, especially when he has to list his current address and reveals he\u2019s staying in a homeless shelter. Roman responds with kindness, telling Doug there\u2019s no shame in that\u2014he\u2019s been there himself. Roman even offers to loan Doug money for rent and says they can work it out through his paycheck.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Rafe returns home and sees Leo\u2019s list of potential suspects. He warns Leo to keep investigating if he wants, but to stay away from Gabi. He\u2019s worried that she might end up in prison again\u2014something he clearly wants to avoid at all costs.<\/p>\n

At the station, Jada is caught off guard by Shawn\u2019s sudden visit. He says he\u2019s there to help with the case, and awkwardly brings up Jada\u2019s name while talking about the previous shooting incident involving her, Rafe, and Arnold. Jada recalls how she could have shot Arnold, but didn\u2019t\u2014because she had locked her gun away. Shawn later calls Rafe to ask about getting his gun back, and Rafe promises to return it soon, explaining that he\u2019s been busy since rejoining the FBI.<\/p>\n

Things take a dramatic turn when Gabi arrives home. Rafe confronts her, asking if she was the one who shot EJ. Gabi loses her temper, but Rafe reveals he knows she took the gun that night. Gabi admits she did and shares what she heard and saw\u2014an argument between EJ and someone else before the shooting. Rafe listens and tells her he believes her.<\/p>\n

Toward the end, Roman introduces Holly to Doug and lets her know that he\u2019ll be living and working at the pub. Holly is thrilled to have her friend close again.
