Get ready for an unexpected but exciting duo! Legendary actor Robert De Niro<\/strong> and Gen Z breakout star Jenna Ortega<\/strong> are coming together for an upcoming drama called Shutout<\/strong><\/em>, directed by David O. Russell<\/strong>. According to Variety<\/em>, the screenplay is written by Alejandro Adams<\/strong>, and the film is being produced by Russell himself, along with Joe Roth<\/strong> and Jeff Kirschenbaum<\/strong> from RK Films.<\/p>\n

If Russell\u2019s name rings a bell, it should \u2014 he\u2019s the mastermind behind critically acclaimed hits like American Hustle<\/em> and The Fighter<\/em>. Add two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro<\/strong> to the mix \u2014 whose recent work includes The Irishman<\/em> and Killers of the Flower Moon<\/em> \u2014 and this film already screams prestige.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s Jenna Ortega<\/strong>, who\u2019s quickly become one of the most recognizable faces of Gen Z. She shot to superstardom with her role in Wednesday<\/em> on Netflix, and just last year, she took on another iconic role in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice<\/em> as Winona Ryder\u2019s<\/strong> on-screen daughter.<\/p>\n

The film centers around Jake Kejeune<\/strong> (played by De Niro), an old-school pool hustler<\/strong> \u2014 one of the last of a dying breed. But everything changes when he crosses paths with Mia<\/strong> (played by Ortega), a young, scrappy, and insanely talented newcomer to the game.<\/p>\n
