The couple had been together for 60 years, having married in 1966\u2014the same day Dolly moved to Nashville to chase her dreams.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"465\" data-end=\"836\">In the interview with <em data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"494\">Today<\/em>, Parton tearfully spoke about the immense adjustment she\u2019s facing. \u201cI\u2019ll do fine, and I\u2019m very involved in my work, and that\u2019s been the best thing that could happen to me,\u201d she said, \u201cBut I\u2019ll always miss him, of course, and always love him.\u201d She described Carl as a wonderful partner who kept a private life despite her global superstardom.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"838\" data-end=\"1044\">May 30 would have marked their 59th wedding anniversary.
