Anna Wintour, the legendary Vogue editor who\u2019s been running the Met Gala since way back in 1995, recently gave us a rare peek behind the curtain of this super glamorous event. In a chat on Good Morning America<\/em>, she spilled some details about the last-minute hustle and what it\u2019s like waiting to see what celebrities actually show up wearing.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, Wintour admitted she doesn\u2019t always know what every single guest plans to wear. While lots of stars do check in with her for advice or to share their outfit ideas, some keep their looks a secret until the big night. So, there\u2019s always a bit of a fashion surprise waiting.<\/p>\n

One of the co-chairs for this year\u2019s Met Gala, actor Colman Domingo, was super thoughtful and sent Anna a sneak peek of his outfit. She loved it! Calling it \u201ca clever idea,\u201d she thought his look was especially creative and well thought out\u2014definitely got her excited.<\/p>\n

As for the other big names co-chairing the event, Wintour had some fun stories. Lewis Hamilton, the famous Formula 1 driver, apparently told her he didn\u2019t even have a picture of what he was going to wear yet. Wintour wasn\u2019t totally buying that excuse but was amused nonetheless. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams and A$AP Rocky gave her verbal descriptions of their ensembles\u2014and they sounded spot-on for the theme, perfectly polished and ready to impress.<\/p>\n

She joked, \u201cLewis, I don\u2019t totally believe you on the no-picture thing, but okay!\u201d Then added, \u201cPharrell and A$AP Rocky\u2019s outfit descriptions sounded perfect for the night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mark your calendars\u2014the Met Gala 2025 is happening on May 5, just before the Costume Institute\u2019s spring exhibition opens on May 10 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year\u2019s theme is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style<\/em>, which celebrates the rich culture of menswear-inspired fashion. The dress code, Tailored for You<\/em>, invites guests to rock sharp suits, dramatic cuts, and bold silhouettes.<\/p>\n

Even though Anna won\u2019t see every outfit beforehand, she\u2019s totally confident the co-chairs will bring their A-game and make fashion choices that do justice to the theme and the event\u2019s prestige.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
