I\u2019m not an Englishman, although I\u2019ve played one on TV,\u201d said the two-time Oscar nominee, acknowledging the challenge that comes with playing such a beloved and iconic character.<\/p>\n<p>Lithgow also reminded fans of his previous portrayal of Winston Churchill in <em>The Crown<\/em>, a role he believes was well received. Nick Frost will portray the kind-hearted Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon will take on Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse will bring the grumpy Argus Filch to life.<\/p>\n<p>The series will be led by writer-showrunner Francesca Gardiner. Lithgow, who has also starred in <em>Interstellar<\/em> and <em>The Conclave<\/em>, is ready to step into the role of Dumbledore, bringing his own unique interpretation to the character.
