Some reports claimed that Wayne used the nearly <strong data-start=\"338\" data-end=\"352\">$9 million<\/strong> he received from the grant for private jets, designer clothing, lavish parties, and vacations. However, when the rapper was questioned about the allegations, he appeared confused, simply saying, \u201cI don\u2019t know what that means.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"923\">In an interview with <em data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"617\">Rolling Stone<\/em>, <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"658\">Wayne\u2019s manager, Fabian Marasciullo<\/strong>, directly rejected the claims, stating, \u201cHe ain\u2019t got nothing to do with none of that s*it. It\u2019s not the way his money comes and goes.\u201d Marasciullo went on to clarify that Wayne\u2019s finances are \u201caudited and clean,\u201d implying that there\u2019s no truth to the allegations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"925\" data-end=\"1434\">A <strong data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"959\">2023 Business Insider report<\/strong> had claimed that Wayne received almost <strong data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1013\">$9 million<\/strong> under the SVOG, but instead of using it to support his music business, he allegedly spent most of it on luxury hotels, designer clothes, and parties. The report also said that Wayne only paid <strong data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1218\">$327,000<\/strong> to contractors for work related to his tours. Additionally, the report mentioned a controversial <strong data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1332\">text message<\/strong> Wayne allegedly sent to reporter <strong data-start=\"1366\" data-end=\"1384\">Katherine Long<\/strong> after she contacted him for comment on the story.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1815\">While Wayne didn\u2019t deny sending the explicit message, he defended his response, saying, \u201cAny female that texts me is going to probably receive a s<em data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1803\">xual comment.\u201d He further explained, \u201cMy phone is a personal phone, so if you even got my number, that means you went out your way and doing too much, and if you texted me and I send you something you don\u2019t like, then s<\/em>ck my d*ck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"2142\">The 2023 report also mentioned other artists like <strong data-start=\"1867\" data-end=\"1882\">Chris Brown<\/strong>, who allegedly received <strong data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"1922\">$10 million<\/strong> for his company <strong data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1954\">CBE Touring<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1960\" data-end=\"1974\">Marshmello<\/strong>, who were both named in the investigation. It claimed that Chris Brown spent nearly <strong data-start=\"2059\" data-end=\"2070\">$80,000<\/strong> on his extravagant birthday party and paid <strong data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2130\">$5.1 million<\/strong> to himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2144\" data-end=\"2641\">Meanwhile, Lil Wayne is busy promoting his much-anticipated album, <strong data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2230\"><em data-start=\"2213\" data-end=\"2228\">Tha Carter VI<\/em><\/strong>, set to release on <strong data-start=\"2250\" data-end=\"2260\">June 6<\/strong>. The album marks his big return to the hip-hop scene and features collaborations with artists like <strong data-start=\"2360\" data-end=\"2375\">Wyclef Jean<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2377\" data-end=\"2384\">MGK<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2386\" data-end=\"2401\">Miley Cyrus<\/strong>, and even opera legend <strong data-start=\"2425\" data-end=\"2443\">Andrea Bocelli<\/strong>.
