Post Malone has confirmed that he\u2019s working on a brand-new album. Speaking to Billboard<\/em> during the opening weekend of Coachella 2025, the rapper-turned-country singer revealed he\u2019s already recorded around 35 songs. \u201cIt\u2019s just a matter of which one\u2019s rock and which one\u2019s sock,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

This update comes less than a year after Malone released his successful country album F-1 Trillion<\/em>, which featured chart-toppers like I Had Some Help<\/em> with Morgan Wallen and collaborations with stars such as Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, and Lainey Wilson.<\/p>\n

On April 13, Malone headlined Coachella for the first time, closing out the festival\u2019s first weekend. While he didn\u2019t preview any tracks from the new album during his set\u2014responding with a firm \u201cAbsolutely not\u201d when asked\u2014he did reveal that he\u2019s been spending a lot of time in Nashville, writing and recording.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just sit and f\u2014ing talk and make songs,\u201d he said, referring to recent studio sessions with artists like Ernest, Hardy, and Thomas Rhett. He confirmed that the upcoming record will continue his country music journey.<\/p>\n

Malone added that his band has already recorded several tracks, and he\u2019s currently working with scratch vocals. Though he usually avoids listening to his own music, he admitted that hearing the band play this new material gets him genuinely excited.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his shift to country, Malone shared that he once joked about making a country album at age 30, but ended up doing it at 29 instead. \u201cIt just felt right,\u201d he said of the decision to go to Nashville and give it a try.<\/p>\n

The artist, who has consistently released albums each year since 2022, says he hopes to keep that momentum going. \u201cHopefully. We\u2019ll have some music releasing very, very soon,\u201d he hinted.<\/p>\n

As for what\u2019s next, Malone plans to return to the studio immediately after his Coachella performance. \u201cThe day after my set, I\u2019m cutting vocals,\u201d he said.
