She shared that her mom spends half the time expressing her thankfulness, and the other half laughing\u2014indicating how, despite the sadness, Patricia has remained positive and strong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe loves and misses Dad (of course, he was the best and they were such a great time), but Mom is determined to live,\u201d Garner wrote, praising her mother\u2019s resilience. She fondly remembered her dad for his quiet strength, dry wit, unwavering love, and how he was a devoted \u201cgirl dad\u201d to her and her two sisters, Melissa and Susannah.<\/p>\n<p>Growing up in West Virginia, Jennifer has spoken in the past about her father\u2019s strong work ethic, leadership, and faithfulness.
