The legal drama between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively is getting more tangled by the day. It all started back in December 2024 when Blake Lively sued Baldoni, but tensions between them were already bubbling long before that\u2014especially during the chaotic promotional run for It Ends With Us<\/em>. Fans noticed Baldoni, who directed the film, was either missing or barely present, sparking plenty of gossip about a behind-the-scenes feud. At the time, neither of them commented publicly. Then Blake dropped her lawsuit, and things really escalated.<\/p>\n

Fast forward to March, and Blake\u2019s legal team fired back at a massive $400 million defamation countersuit Baldoni had filed against her. According to People<\/em> magazine, her lawyers called his claims \u201cbaseless\u201d and said the lawsuit was a major misuse of the legal system\u2014essentially accusing him of trying to punish her for speaking up about sexual harassment. They argued that Baldoni and his crew were using the courts to silence and discredit her.<\/p>\n

Now, it\u2019s Baldoni\u2019s turn to respond. His attorney, Bryan Freedman, just filed new court documents pushing back hard. He claims that Blake was the one trying to manipulate and pressure Baldoni\u2014and even tried to take total control over the film It Ends With Us<\/em>. When that didn\u2019t go her way, Freedman says, she allegedly tried to ruin Baldoni\u2019s reputation instead.<\/p>\n

Freedman didn\u2019t hold back in his public statement either. He told People<\/em> that if the court sides with Lively and throws out Baldoni\u2019s countersuit, it could send a dangerous message\u2014that people in Baldoni\u2019s position might be blocked from defending themselves legally. He added that Blake and her \u201cHollywood elite\u201d circle shouldn\u2019t be able to stop his client from using the court system to clear his name.<\/p>\n
