Glen Powell\u2019s mother, Cyndy Powell, has set the record straight regarding the ongoing rumors about a romantic relationship between her son and actress Sydney Sweeney. The two starred together in the 2023 romantic comedy Anyone But You<\/em>, which sparked speculation about their personal lives.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Daily Mail<\/em>, Cyndy clarified that Sweeney, 27, is simply a close family friend and not a romantic partner. She revealed that Sweeney attended her daughter Leslie Powell\u2019s wedding in Texas, and while the two spent time together, Cyndy emphasized that there was no romantic involvement between them. \u201cThey\u2019re definitely not together,\u201d Cyndy firmly stated.<\/p>\n

Cyndy went on to explain that the Sweeney-Powell connection has always been platonic. She described the Euphoria<\/em> actress as a dear friend, one who has been part of the Powell family for years. \u201cWe love Sydney. We\u2019ve considered her just a really, really good friend. The rumors first began circulating when Powell and Sweeney were spotted together filming Anyone But You<\/em>. The two even joked about the speculation during Sweeney\u2019s SNL monologue. Despite the rumors resurfacing after Sweeney\u2019s recent breakup with her fianc\u00e9 Jonathan Davino, Cyndy reassured that there was no romantic relationship between the two.<\/p>\n
