The long-awaited return of \u201cFrasier\u201d after nearly two decades sees Kelsey Grammar reprising his iconic titular character in a TV landscape that has undergone a complete transformation. Unlike its original network home on NBC, the new series has opted for a streaming platform.<\/p>\n

Episodes 1 and 2 of the new \u201cFrasier\u201d series are currently exclusively available for streaming on Paramount+. While CBS will air a special back-to-back broadcast of these first two episodes on Tuesday, Oct. 17, starting at 9:15 PM ET\/PT, the remainder of the series can only be accessed on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
In a testament to the influence of the streaming era, the rebooted season of \u201cFrasier\u201d consists of just 10 episodes, a notable departure from the 24-episode standard of the original 11 seasons.<\/p>\n
The initial two episodes are set to debut on Oct. 12, followed by weekly releases until the finale on Dec. 7.<\/p>\n
For those interested in revisiting the original \u201cFrasier\u201d series, all 11 seasons of the 1993-2004 run are available for streaming on Paramount+ and Hulu. The first season is accessible for free on Amazon Prime Video until Oct. 31.<\/p>\n
For a throwback to Frasier\u2019s early days in Boston, \u201cCheers\u201d is the destination. The complete 11-season run from 1982-1993 is streamable on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
Currently, Hulu offers the first four seasons of \u201cFrasier,\u201d while Amazon Prime Video provides free streaming of the first season until Oct. 31. However, it\u2019s worth noting that Frasier\u2019s character debut doesn\u2019t occur until Season 3.<\/p>\n
In terms of the cast, Kelsey Grammer is the sole original series regular reprising his role in the \u201cFrasier\u201d reboot. Peri Gilpin and Bebe Neuwirth are set to return as Roz and Lilith, respectively.<\/p>\n
The next generation of Cranes will also make an appearance, albeit portrayed by new actors. Jack Cutmore-Scott takes on the role of Frasier and Lilith\u2019s son, Freddy, while newcomer Anders Keith portrays Niles and Daphne\u2019s son, David.<\/p>\n
In addition to familiar faces, the series introduces new characters. Nicholas Lyndhurst stars as Frasier\u2019s old Oxford friend and new Harvard colleague, Professor Alan Cornwall. Toks Olagundoye stars as the ambitious and unconventional Harvard psych department head, Olivia Finch, and Jess Salgueiro plays Freddy\u2019s friend, Eve.<\/p>\n
While David Hyde Pierce has chosen not to reprise his role as Niles Crane for the time being, the character hasn\u2019t been written off, leaving room for a potential return should Pierce have a change of heart.
