The Indianapolis Colts<\/strong> have taken an aggressive approach to upgrading their secondary this offseason, adding safety Cam Bynum<\/strong> and cornerback Charvarius Ward<\/strong> to address long-standing issues. Even with those additions, they may not be done, as the 2025 NFL Draft<\/strong> presents an opportunity to add even more talent.<\/p>\n

According to Pro Football Focus\u2019 Nic Bodiford<\/strong>, Colorado superstar Travis Hunter<\/strong> would be an ideal fit for the Colts or the Seahawks. However, Indianapolis currently holds the 14th overall pick<\/strong>, meaning they would need to trade up significantly to have a shot at him.<\/p>\n

What would it take to land Travis Hunter?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hunter is a rare two-way player<\/strong> who dominated in 2024, winning the Heisman Trophy<\/strong> while excelling as both a cornerback and a wide receiver. His numbers reflect his impact:<\/p>\n

    Wide Receiver:<\/strong> 96 receptions, 1,258 yards, 15 touchdowns<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    To move into the top four picks and secure Hunter, the Colts would likely need to part with multiple first-round picks<\/strong>, along with additional assets. Given that general manager Chris Ballard<\/strong> has never made a trade of that magnitude, it seems unlikely Indianapolis would make such a move.<\/p>\n

    Would Travis Hunter be worth it?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If the Colts pulled off a trade, they would be getting a player capable of transforming their team immediately. Hunter could step in as a lockdown corner<\/strong>, while also giving quarterback Anthony Richardson<\/strong> another elite weapon on offense. Adding him would make Indianapolis a serious AFC South contender<\/strong> and potentially end their playoff drought.<\/p>\n
