Director George Miller<\/strong> has hinted at another installment in the Mad Max<\/em> franchise, though it may not be coming anytime soon. In a recent interview with Vulture<\/strong>, Miller revealed that he has received scripts for a potential sequel to Furiosa<\/em> but remains uncertain about when, or if, it will happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got another script,\u201d<\/strong> Miller confirmed. However, he emphasized that he has numerous stories in development, saying, \u201cI find myself with way too many stories\u2014not only in my head, but in the form of screenplays or at least very detailed notes that are within reach of screenplays.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 79-year-old filmmaker, known for his meticulous world-building, joked about being a \u201cprofessional daydreamer,\u201d<\/strong> recalling that his school teachers would often note how he was prone to drifting off into his imagination.<\/p>\n

While he acknowledges the possibility of another Mad Max<\/em> film, Miller made it clear that it\u2019s not his immediate priority. \u201cThere are two things I\u2019m keen to do next,\u201d<\/strong> he shared. However, he left the door open, adding, \u201cIf for whatever reason, the planets align, you can never tell.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The director also reflected on the unpredictability of filmmaking, stating, \u201cToo often, you\u2019re lining up to do a movie and then something happens. Some things fall into place and some don\u2019t, so all I can say is we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film explored the backstory of Imperator Furiosa<\/strong>, a fan-favorite character originally played by Charlize Theron<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Mad Max<\/em> series has been a box office powerhouse<\/strong>, with Fury Road<\/em> (2015) earning six Academy Awards and Furiosa<\/em> continuing to expand the post-apocalyptic universe.<\/p>\n
