He likened his return to television with <em>Last Man Standing<\/em> and his current work in new projects to Brady\u2019s celebrated comeback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, joking, \u201cI feel like Tom Brady\u2014I\u2019m doing another one.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>A long-standing career in TV and film<\/h2>\n<p>After <em>Home Improvement<\/em> ended, Allen focused on movies for over a decade before returning to the small screen with <em>Last Man Standing<\/em> in 2011, where he played Mike Baxter for nine successful seasons. Recently, he reprised his role as Scott Calvin in <em>The Santa Clauses<\/em> series on Disney+. Allen shared he\u2019s thrilled to keep entertaining and that his latest project, <em>Shifting Gears<\/em>, will premiere in 2025, marking yet another TV comeback for the star.<\/p>\n<h2>New roles, old favorites, and family inspiration<\/h2>\n<p>In <em>Shifting Gears,<\/em> Allen portrays a widowed classic car workshop owner whose life turns comedic when his daughter, played by Kat Dennings, returns with her own teenage daughter.
