Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are so in sync that they even gifted each other the same Christmas present last year. Steinfeld, 27, revealed in her \u201cBeau Society\u201d newsletter that she bought a Miyabi Kaizen chef\u2019s knife for Allen, 28, only to receive the exact same knife in a different color from him.<\/p>\n
Steinfeld shared a humorous story behind their gift exchange. According to an old wives\u2019 tale, gifting a knife could symbolize a severing of the relationship unless it\u2019s paid for. \u201cWe exchanged quarters so we didn\u2019t have that bad omen,\u201d she recalled. The couple laughed off the superstition, and Steinfeld happily added, \u201cI don\u2019t know much about a chef\u2019s knife, but it is just so nice and makes me feel official.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since becoming public in spring 2023, Steinfeld and Allen\u2019s relationship has been filled with laughter and lighthearted moments. \u201cThey laugh a ton when they\u2019re together [and] are always smiling,\u201d a source told *Us Weekly* in June 2023. They made their Instagram debut in summer 2023, sharing photos from a romantic trip to Paris. Steinfeld has also shown her support for the Buffalo Bills quarterback. The couple is also active in supporting causes together.
