More than two decades after their breakout roles in <\/span>Y Tu Mam\u00e1 Tambi\u00e9n<\/span><\/i>, Diego Luna and Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal have reunited on screen in <\/span>La M\u00e1quina<\/span><\/i>, Hulu\u2019s first Spanish-language series. While their professional partnership has been lauded in Hollywood, their friendship traces back much further, to their childhood days in Mexico when both actors co-starred in stage plays and shared a close bond through their families.<\/span><\/p>\n

Diego Luna and Gael Grcia Bernal\u2019s unbreakable bond:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La M\u00e1quina<\/span><\/i> brings the two actors together once again, with Garc\u00eda Bernal, 45, playing Esteban, a seasoned boxing champion, and Luna, 44, portraying his appearance-obsessed manager. The six-episode limited series dives deep into the physical and emotional complexities of the sport, exploring themes of brotherhood, ambition, and the existential challenges athletes face as they near the end of their careers.<\/span><\/p>\n
