Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs is currently facing a significant fall from grace, finding himself behind bars after being denied bail on serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.<\/p>\n

As his legal troubles unfold, many past TV appearances are coming under scrutiny, including a particularly unsettling moment from his 2002 visit to Late Night With Conan O\u2019Brien<\/em>. During that episode, O\u2019Brien asked the then-33-year-old Diddy for tips on how to throw an unforgettable party, given his \u201clegendary\u201d reputation for hosting.<\/p>\n

What followed was a series of remarks that now seem particularly creepy, even for the early 2000s. Diddy advised, \u201cThis is what you need to do. Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men for the ladies, of course. You need some water. I don\u2019t know if guys have noticed this but a lot of ladies drink water at parties, so if you don\u2019t have what they need, they\u2019re going to leave. Gotta keep them there. Need locks on the doors.\u201d<\/p>\n

The mention of needing \u201clocks on the doors\u201d raised immediate red flags, and O\u2019Brien, clearly uncomfortable, responded, \u201cThis is sounding kinda dangerous now.\u201d Diddy then did a strange shimmy, admitting that his advice was \u201ca little kinky.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to elaborate on the \u201cingredients\u201d for a successful party, adding, \u201cYou need a lot of heat. Don\u2019t have no air conditioning. Heat affects the alcohol but everybody also gets a little more comfortable and loose \u2026 builds up a nice little sweat.\u201d O\u2019Brien, visibly taken aback, replied, \u201cThat just sounds disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diddy concluded with the last two essentials: \u201cgood music and you need me, of course.\u201d At the time, these comments didn\u2019t make much noise in the media, but in light of his current legal issues, they are now being reevaluated as part of a larger pattern of troubling behavior.<\/p>\n

Diddy was arrested on September 16, following a 14-page indictment that accuses him of abusing, threatening, and coercing women and others in his orbit.
