In a recent episode of The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers<\/em> podcast, Andy Samberg shared his reflections on The Office<\/em>\u2018s spoof of their famous Saturday Night Live<\/em> skit, \u201cLazy Sunday.\u201d The skit, which premiered in 2005 and features Samberg and Chris Parnell rapping about their day off, has become iconic. However, when The Office<\/em> produced a parody titled \u201cLazy Scranton,\u201d featuring Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson, Samberg found himself confused about whether it was a playful tribute or a mockery.<\/p>\n

Samberg recounted that he initially struggled with his feelings about the spoof, wondering if The Office<\/em> creators were making fun of them or simply showcasing how people reacted to their original sketch. He clarified this by reaching out to Mike Schur, a writer and showrunner for The Office<\/em>, who was also a friend.
