Both actors have impressive credentials: Pierre is known for his lead role in <em>Rebel Ridge<\/em> and his previous superhero experience as Dev-Em in <em>Krypton<\/em>, while James has garnered acclaim for his roles in <em>Homecoming<\/em> and <em>If Beale Street Could Talk<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Lanterns<\/em> series will follow John Stewart and Hal Jordan as they investigate a murder on Earth, with Hal Jordan acting as a reluctant mentor to Stewart. The show is being described as an HBO-quality event with a <em>True Detective<\/em> vibe, mixing cosmic heroics with a grounded detective story.<\/p>\n<p>Kyle Chandler is close to securing the role of Hal Jordan, and the series is set to be part of the DCU\u2019s \u201cChapter One: Gods and Monsters\u201d slate.
