After failing to secure a deal for his Encino, California, mansion, former baseball MVP Jimmy Rollins has cut the asking price to $10.8 million.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s the third reduction since the 11,000 square-foot residence was first listed in October last year for $11.75 million. The 44-year-old retired shortstop lowered the priced by $400,000 January and later relisted the property over his weekend for its current price, as per the listing with Compass.<\/p>\n
Rollins, who spent most of his 17-year old career with the Philadelphia Phillies and was named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2007, bought the property for $8.7 million in 2018, through a limited liability company, according to records with PropertyShark.<\/p>\n
The house is located in a gated community and has a foyer with double-height ceilings leading to an open living area with a double sided gas fireplace. It was built in 2018 and was brand when Rollings moved in. It also includes a wet bar, wooden flooring, and wall of windows that open to the outside. There\u2019s also a newly added glass-encased wine room, as per the listing.<\/p>\n
