Despite the infraction, the Monegasque driver avoided a grid penalty and was issued a formal reprimand, his first of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhile Leclerc didn\u2019t fully adhere to the yellow flag rules, there was no malicious intent or severe breach of safety that would warrant a grid penalty,\u201d the stewards noted in their report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leclerc addressed the reprimand, stating, \u201cIt was a tricky moment because I didn\u2019t see Gasly\u2019s car clearly, but I understand the decision. Safety is always a priority, and I\u2019ll take more care in those situations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ferrari will undoubtedly breathe a sigh of relief, as Leclerc\u2019s avoidance of a penalty keeps him in contention for a strong qualifying result.
