Strands<\/strong> is a new daily puzzle from the New York Times, and it\u2019s a more challenging spin on the traditional word search. You\u2019ll need sharp observation skills to spot the hidden words in this game!<\/p>\n

How to Play Strands<\/em><\/h3>\n

In each Strands puzzle, your objective is to find hidden \u201ctheme words\u201d within a grid of letters. You can drag or tap letters to form words, then double-tap the final letter to confirm the word. If you guess correctly, the letters in the theme word will be highlighted in blue and will no longer be selectable.<\/p>\n

Even if you stumble upon non-theme words, they\u2019re still useful! For every three non-theme words (at least four letters long) that you find, you\u2019ll earn a hint, revealing letters from one of the theme words, which you\u2019ll then need to unscramble.<\/p>\n

Remember, each letter in the grid is used exactly once and there is no overlap. So, every single letter is part of a theme word.<\/p>\n

One special word in every puzzle is the spangram<\/strong>, which ties into the puzzle\u2019s theme. It stretches across the board from one side to another and will be highlighted in yellow once discovered.<\/p>\n

The ultimate goal is to solve the puzzle efficiently without relying too much on hints.<\/p>\n
