On Monday, Texas Democratic Representative Henry Cuellar was carjacked in Washington, DC, as his office confirmed to CNN.<\/p>\n
As per his office, Cuellar\u2019s ipad, phone, sushi dinner, and car were stolen in the incident, which occurred at around 9.32 pm on Monday evening, as per the police.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs Congressman Cuellar was parking his car this evening, 3 armed assailants approached the Congressman and stole his vehicle. Luckily, he was not harmed and is working with local law enforcement,\u201d stated Jacob Hochberg, his chief of staff, in a statement. Further ahead, he added that Metro PD and Capitol Police\u2019s swift action helped Cuellar recover his car.<\/p>\n
The armed carjacking took place at the intersection of K Street and New Jersey Avenue in Southeast DC\u2019s Navy Yard neighbourhood, as per the alert sent out from DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.
