Actor Sir Michael Gambon passed away on Thursday but left behind a legacy of some of his most iconic roles. Daniel Radcliffe, the lead star of the film series Harry Potter is remembering his late co-star, who passed away at the age of 82.<\/p>\n

\u201cMichael Gambon was one of the most brilliant, effortless actors I\u2019ve ever had the privilege of working with, but despite his immense talent that I will remember the most about him is how much fun he had doing his job,\u201d stated the actor in a statement to Variety. He added that Gambon loved his job but never seemed to be defined by it. He also called the late actor \u201csilly, irrelevant, and hilarious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another costar from Harry Potter, Rupert Grint, who played the role of Ron Weasley, posted a tribute to Gambon on Instagram<\/a>. He wrote, \u201cSo sad to hear about Michael. He brought so much warmth and mischief to every day on set. He captivated me as a kid and became a personal role model of mine for finding the fun and eccentricities in life. Sending all my love to his family, Rupert.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gambon stepped in the shoes of Richard Harris post his death in 2002 and went on to feature as Dumbledore in six out of eight Harry Potter movies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
