Intel has unveiled its latest AI processor series tailored for edge computing, introducing the \u2018Amston Lake\u2019 Atom x7000RE chips engineered for industrial-grade deep learning inference. These new processors represent a significant leap forward from the previous x6000RE series, boasting double the cores and twice the higher graphics base frequency, all while maintaining a compact 6W\u201312W BGA package.<\/p>\n
The x7000RE series brings enhanced performance within a smaller footprint, featuring up to eight E-cores and supporting LPDDR5\/DDR5\/DDR4 memory alongside nine PCIe 3.0 lanes, facilitating robust multitasking capabilities.<\/p>\n
Designed to endure challenging conditions, including extreme temperature fluctuations, shock, and vibration, these processors are engineered to thrive in hard-to-access environments. They come equipped with 2x SATA Gen 3.2 ports, up to 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB Type-C port, 2.5GbE Ethernet connectivity, as well as Intel Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G platform functionalities.<\/p>\n
Catering to the needs of embedded, industrial, and communication applications, the x7000RE series offers four distinct SKUs optimized for extended temperature operation. The x7211RE and x7213RE models feature 2 cores with lower base frequencies, while the x7433RE boasts 4 cores, and the x7835RE delivers 8 cores with higher base frequencies.<\/p>\n
All four SKUs support GPU execution unit counts of either 16 or 32, along with Intel\u2019s Time Coordinated Computing and Time-Sensitive Networking GbE features. Additionally, the x7000RE processors are equipped with integrated Intel UHD Graphics, Intel DL Boost, Intel AVX2 with INT8 support, and OpenVINO toolkit compatibility.<\/p>\n
