Canadian Sikhs staged a small protest outside India\u2019s diplomatic mission on Monday, a week after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that the Indian government might be involved in murder of Sikh separatist advocate in Canada\u2019s British Columbia.<\/p>\n
A week earlier, the Canadian PM stood in the parliament to say that domestic intelligence agencies have put forward credible allegations that tie New Delhi\u2019s connection to the shooting of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen, in June.<\/p>\n
Around a 100 protestors gathered in Toronto and burned an Indian flag. They also stuck a cardboard cut-out of PM Narendra Modi with shoe. In other part of the country, about 200 protestors gathered in Vancouver. Fewer than 100 people gathered outside Indian High Commissioner\u2019s Office (Embassy) in Ottawa.<\/p>\n
The protestors waved yellow flags marked with the word \u201cKhalistan\u201d, a way showing their support for making India\u2019s Punjab a separate country, for which Nijjar for advocating.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are really thankful to Justin Trudeau\u2026 We want no stone left unturned to get to the bottom of this cowardly act,\u201d stated Reshma Singh, one of the protestors in Ottawa.<\/p>\n
