He mused, \u201cPerhaps while visiting Disneyland, the protagonist (let\u2019s, for argument\u2019s sake, call him Jimmy Stewart) finds himself \u2018recognizing\u2019 someone he could never have seen before, triggered by a staged gunfight. Perhaps the entire film could be set in Disneyland. Hitchcock in Disneyland!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHitch and Lehman embarked on developing the idea, mirroring their collaboration on \u2018North by Northwest,\u2019 and initially, everything progressed smoothly. However, then an announcement surfaced in the industry publications about the project. Walt Disney caught wind of it and promptly declared that under no circumstances would Hitchcock, the creator of that shocking film \u2018Psycho,\u2019 be granted permission to shoot a single frame of footage in Disneyland.\u201d<\/p>\n
