Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who was reported to have collapsed after a walk, has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of her husband\u2019s murder and pledged to continue his work, a media report said. In a nine-minute video on Monday, 47-year-old Navalnaya said: \u201cThree days ago, Vladimir Putin killed my husband Alexei Navalny, the father of my children and took away the most important thing I had. The person who was closest to me and whom I loved most.\u201d<\/p>\n
During an interview, Navalnaya, an economist who had left her job to raise her kids, said: \u201cWhen you are not a politician but you see the darkest things against your family then, of course, it radicalises you.\u201d She said that the most important thing \u201cwe can do for Alexei and for ourselves is to continue to fight more desperately, more fiercely than before.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also accused the authorities of hiding her husband\u2019s body. Authorities told Navalny\u2019s mother that his body would not be handed over to the family for two weeks as they are conducting chemical analysis, Navalny\u2019s spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh was quoted as saying by BBC.<\/p>\n
Navalny, who has been Putin\u2019s most prolific critic for over a decade, was confirmed dead by the opposition on Saturday.
