Guterres called on leaders to \u201cturn up the heat now for climate solutions\u201d. \u201cWe can still avoid the worst of climate chaos \u2014 and we don\u2019t have a moment to lose,\u201d he added. Earth has sweltered through its hottest Northern Hemisphere summer ever measured, with a record warm August capping a season of brutal and deadly temperatures, according to the WMO.
