The British actor Tom Wilkinson, who popularly known for his roles in Batman Begins and The Full Monty, has passed away at the age of 75.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he died suddenly at home on December 30th,\u201d a statement obtained by Page Six read.<\/p>\n
The late actor was born in Leeds, England in 1948 and he started acting at the age of 18.<\/p>\n
The news of his death was first reported by BBC, to whom he once said, \u201cFor the first time in my life, I started doing something I knew how to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wilkinson honed his craft at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and landed his first television role in 1975 on the series titled \u20182nd House\u2019.<\/p>\n
His major role, which served as a breakout role for him came over a decade later, in 1986, when he landed a role in mini-series \u2018First Among Equals\u2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
