His character was among the fans\u2019 favourite due to his stoic and no-nonsense personality and his deep sense of humanity. His scenes with his co-star Andy Samberg, who was playing Detective Jake Peralta, were always loved by the fans.<\/p>\n<p>He won a lead actor Emmy for his role as Detective Frank Pembleton on NBC\u2019s \u2018Homicide: Life on Street\u2019 in 1998.
