Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine accused of sexual abuse in a summons filed in a Manhattan court Wednesday.<\/p>\n
As per the court documents, reviewed by USA Today, the plaintiff, under the name Jane Doe has claimed that she was sexually abused, forcibly touched, and subjected to sexual harassment and retaliation\u201d in incidents around August 2007. The full complaint will be filed at a later date in New York county Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
The documents added that the complainant has been seeking compensatory damages, punitive damages and attorneys\u2019 fees and cost.<\/p>\n
Iovine\u2019s spokesperson told Rolling Stone and Reuters that they are \u201cshocked and baffled\u201d by the allegations. \u201cNo one has ever made a claim like this against Jimmy Iovine, nor have we been contacted or made aware of any complaint by anyone, including this unknown plaintiff prior to now.\u201d<\/p>\n
The music executive is the latest entertainment figure to face sexual abuse charges under New York\u2019s expiring Adult Survivors Act, which has allowed victims of sexual abuse a one-year window for claims that would otherwise be barred by time limits. This window closes on November 23, which is Thanksgiving holiday.<\/p>\n
