US stock markets traded higher across all major indexes as technology and small cap stocks led the gains. The Nasdaq posted the strongest move among the major benchmarks while the Russell 2000 delivered the biggest percentage gain of the session.<\/p>\n

Small cap stocks outperformed the broader market. The Russell 2000 index jumped 42.43 points to 2,911.66, marking a strong 1.48% gain. Investors continued rotating into smaller companies as market confidence improved.<\/p>\n

The Nasdaq remained the strongest major benchmark in percentage terms among the large cap indexes. Strong movement in tech focused shares helped the index stay above 26,600 levels during the session.<\/p>\n

The S&P 500 maintained steady gains throughout the trading day and traded within a narrow positive range. The benchmark touched an intraday high of 7,527.75.<\/p>\n

VIX volatility index rises 1.15% despite market rally<\/h2>\n

The CBOE Volatility Index, widely known as the VIX, rose 1.15% to 16.78 even as equity markets moved higher. The index traded between 16.53 and 16.94 during the session.<\/p>\n

A rising VIX alongside a market rally often signals that investors are still cautious about short term volatility despite positive momentum in equities.<\/p>\n
