Agricultural commodity markets witnessed sharp price swings as wheat, rice, soybeans, and potatoes recorded major gains across global trading sessions. Food commodities continued to stay in focus due to changing weather conditions, supply concerns, and rising global demand.<\/p>\n

Wheat prices climbed to 659.84 US cents per bushel and posted a strong 30.08% rise in 2026 so far. The grain also surged 24.67% over the past year as supply pressures continued to impact global markets.<\/p>\n

Soybeans traded at 1213.58 US cents per bushel after jumping 3.11% during the session. The commodity is now up 17.67% this year and 15.40% year over year.<\/p>\n

Corn prices also moved higher and reached 472.24 US cents per bushel. The grain recorded yearly gains of 7.44% while rice surged 30.65% in 2026 and traded at $12.59 per hundredweight.<\/p>\n

Wheat and soybean prices rise as global food demand stays strong<\/h2>\n

Grain markets remained one of the strongest performing segments in agricultural commodities. Analysts say unpredictable weather patterns and export concerns are continuing to support wheat and soybean prices.<\/p>\n

Oat prices rose to 370.32 US cents per bushel and recorded yearly gains of 22.42%. Canola prices also stayed firm at 738.10 Canadian dollars per tonne with gains of 25.23% this year.<\/p>\n

Rapeseed traded at 527.04 euros per tonne and climbed 15.95% in 2026 so far. Barley prices in India also posted gains of 1.29% this year despite showing limited yearly movement.<\/p>\n

Palm oil prices remained elevated at 4522 Malaysian ringgit per tonne with yearly gains of 11.65%. Sunflower oil traded at 1533.60 Indian rupees per 10 kilograms and recorded yearly growth of 6.34%.<\/p>\n

Potatoes soar 704.35% monthly while tea jumps 20.37% YTD<\/h2>\n

Potato prices witnessed one of the biggest monthly spikes in the agricultural market. The commodity traded at 18.50 euros per 100 kilograms and surged an extraordinary 704.35% over the last month. On a yearly basis, potatoes are now up 184.62%.<\/p>\n

Tea prices in India also moved sharply higher. Tea traded at 220.62 Indian rupees per kilogram and gained 20.37% this year along with a 13.30% yearly increase.<\/p>\n

Rubber prices climbed to 221.30 US cents per kilogram and posted yearly gains of 23.01%. Cotton prices also strengthened and traded at 82.35 US cents per pound with yearly growth of 28.12%.<\/p>\n

Wool prices reached 1876 Australian dollars per 100 kilograms and recorded a strong 57.78% yearly rise.<\/p>\n

Coffee and cocoa prices remain under pressure despite market volatility<\/h2>\n

Not all agricultural commodities moved higher. Coffee prices traded at 268.40 US cents per pound and remained down 23.57% this year. On a yearly basis, coffee prices have fallen 28.92%.<\/p>\n

Cocoa prices also faced heavy selling pressure. The commodity traded at $3764.91 per tonne after plunging 38.09% in 2026 and 65.57% over the past year despite recent market volatility.<\/p>\n

Orange juice prices slipped to 167.08 US cents per pound and recorded yearly losses of 19.28%. Sugar prices also stayed weak with a 2.49% yearly decline.<\/p>\n

Dairy commodities showed mixed movement. Cheese prices rose 14.04% this year while milk prices gained 11.30%. Butter however continued to struggle and remained down 4.63% in 2026.<\/p>\n
