Global metals markets remained highly active on Tuesday as silver, lithium, and platinum prices continued to show massive yearly gains while gold prices stayed near record territory. Industrial metals also remained supported by improving demand expectations and tighter global supply conditions.<\/p>\n

Gold traded at $4685.58 per troy ounce. Prices slipped slightly by 0.02% during the day and are down 2.20% for the month. Despite the short term weakness, gold has still gained 8.45% this year and surged 44.73% compared to last year.<\/p>\n

Silver remained the biggest standout in the precious metals market. Prices traded at $84.84 per troy ounce after falling nearly 3% during the session. Even with the daily drop, silver has rallied 19.10% this year and an explosive 160.09% year over year.<\/p>\n

Silver and gold prices keep investors focused on precious metals<\/h2>\n

Precious metals continued attracting strong investor attention as market uncertainty and inflation concerns supported safe haven demand. Silver posted an 8.30% weekly gain and a 7.49% monthly rise, showing continued bullish momentum despite sharp intraday swings.<\/p>\n

Platinum prices also stayed volatile. The metal traded at $2084.90 per troy ounce after dropping 5.12% during the day. Platinum is still up 110.26% compared to last year, making it one of the strongest performing metals in the market.<\/p>\n

Copper prices remained elevated at $6.55 per pound. The industrial metal declined 1.23% during the session but still recorded a strong 15.22% gain this year and a 40.60% yearly increase. Traders continued watching copper closely as global infrastructure and clean energy demand supported prices.<\/p>\n

Lithium surges 200.93% YoY as battery metals stay hot<\/h2>\n

Battery related metals continued seeing strong momentum. Lithium prices climbed to CNY 195000 per tonne despite a 2.74% daily drop. The metal has surged 64.56% this year and an incredible 200.93% year over year as electric vehicle demand continues driving the market.<\/p>\n

Cobalt Hydroxide traded at $56515.43 per metric tonne. Prices stayed mostly flat during the session but remained nearly 89% higher compared to last year.<\/p>\n

Titanium prices stayed stable at CNY 48.50 per kilogram. The metal is up 5.43% this year even though yearly performance remained slightly negative.<\/p>\n

Steel and iron ore markets show steady gains<\/h2>\n

Steel prices in China traded at CNY 3239 per tonne after rising 0.81% during the session. Steel has gained 4.62% this year while HRC Steel prices climbed 20.86% year to date and 25.56% year over year.<\/p>\n

Iron Ore prices also remained firm. The USD benchmark traded at $111.28 per tonne while Iron Ore CNY stood at CNY 817 per tonne. Both benchmarks posted yearly gains above 10%.<\/p>\n

Scrap Steel prices reached $417 per tonne despite a 0.95% daily decline. The market is still up more than 22% compared to last year.<\/p>\n

Silicon prices traded at CNY 8530 per tonne and remained under pressure.
