The global metals market witnessed strong momentum as silver prices surged nearly 149% over the past year while lithium recorded an explosive 197.32% yearly jump. Gold also remained firm above the $4700 level, reflecting continued investor interest in safe haven assets and industrial metals.<\/p>\n

Several commodities posted sharp gains due to rising industrial demand, supply concerns, and strong investment flows. Battery metals and precious metals remained the biggest market movers.<\/p>\n

Silver and gold prices lead precious metals rally<\/h2>\n

Gold traded at $4726.92 per troy ounce after gaining 0.87% during the day. The precious metal rose 2.45% weekly and is now up 42.16% compared to last year. Despite a slight 0.79% monthly decline, gold continues to hold strong yearly momentum with a 9.39% rise in 2026.<\/p>\n

Silver emerged as the top performing precious metal. Prices surged to $81.149 per troy ounce after a massive 3.56% daily jump. The metal climbed 8.30% weekly and 8.07% monthly. Silver prices are now up 148.82% year over year and 14.22% year to date.<\/p>\n

Platinum traded at $2045.80 per troy ounce. Prices slipped 0.80% during the day and remain slightly negative for the year at 0.63%. However, platinum still posted a huge 106.72% yearly gain.<\/p>\n

Lithium prices soar 197% YoY as battery metals stay strong<\/h2>\n

Lithium prices climbed to 194000 CNY per ton after gaining 1.84% daily. The battery metal rose 24.56% monthly and recorded one of the biggest yearly jumps in the entire commodities market at 197.32%. Year to date gains also stood at 63.71%.<\/p>\n

Cobalt Hydroxide traded at $56473.55 per metric ton with a small daily rise of 0.06%. While the commodity remained slightly negative for the year at 1.78%, annual growth still touched 98.90%.<\/p>\n

Copper prices also remained strong at $6.2630 per pound. The industrial metal gained 2.21% daily and 5.55% weekly. Copper is now up 35.91% compared to last year as global infrastructure and manufacturing demand continue to support prices.<\/p>\n

Silicon traded at 8870 CNY per ton despite a 0.78% daily decline. The commodity still posted a 7.39% monthly increase and a 6.80% yearly gain.<\/p>\n

Steel and iron ore markets show mixed movement<\/h2>\n

Steel prices traded at 3234 CNY per ton after falling 0.52% during the day. However, monthly gains stood at 5.31% while yearly growth reached 6.07%.<\/p>\n

HRC Steel traded at $1126.99 per ton with a slight 0.35% daily decline. The commodity remains strong overall with a 20.32% year to date rise and 26.40% yearly growth.<\/p>\n

Iron Ore prices stayed above $110 per ton at $110.95. The commodity gained 3.52% weekly and posted a 12.95% annual increase. Iron Ore CNY also remained steady at 814.50 CNY per ton.<\/p>\n

Scrap Steel traded at $421 per ton and gained 15.18% this year. Titanium prices stayed unchanged at 48 CNY per kilogram but continued to show weakness on a yearly basis with a 4.95% decline.<\/p>\n

The latest data highlights strong momentum across precious metals and battery metals as global industrial activity and clean energy demand continue to reshape commodity markets.
