Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who are currently the already chaotic Yemen, have seized control of a cargo ship partially owned by an Israeli shipping magnate.<\/p>\n
The hijacking which took place in the southern Red Sea near Yemen was described as \u201cgrave incident of global proportions\u201d by an Israel Defense Forces spokesperson.<\/p>\n
Al Hadth reports the ship is called the Galaxy Leader, and sails under the Bahamian flag.<\/p>\n
It is claimed that there are 22 crew members aboard, but none of them are Israelis. All are said to be civilians.<\/p>\n
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s office blamed the Iranian terrorism for the incident, on Sunday morning. It was called as leap forward in \u201cIran\u2019s aggression against the citizens of the free world.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ship was seized after it left Turkey, which was bound for India.<\/p>\n
