In November 2025, Hulu approved a third season of this popular courtroom drama on the heels of the conclusion of the second season, and now, earlier in July 2026, production has begun for a fourth season with series star Emayatzy Corinealdi reprising her role as Jax Stewart (the best lawyer in her world). According to those who cover television at a professional level, there is no scheduled date for when the series will premiere, and it is ambiguous whether the rumored May 2026 date will happen or not, as it is just speculation.<\/p>\n
The speculation surrounding the series\u2019s reported May 2026 premiere stems from the fact that season three of the show aired in September 2025 and the quick turnaround of its production. Although the show will complete filming shortly, Hulu\u2019s typical rollout and broadcast strategy for most of its dramas are usually fall or late summer \u2014 never spring. Thus, it is widely believed that the series\u2019 fo fourth season will begin to air around late 2026 or early 2027.<\/p>\n
In season four, the stakes have been raised with the addition of new actors to the cast, including Meagan Good, who plays Regina Harris (the sharpest prosecutor Jax has ever encountered), and new recurring cast members, including La La Anthony, Rutina Wesley, and the return of a fan favourite, Morris Chestnut.
