However, immediately after finishing airing, the next season was announced to be produced based on the manga published after this week’s episode aired. Therefore, the next season will consist of 26 episodes to be called the Culling Game Part II or Shimetsukaiyu Part II.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 2: Release date update

Part 1 of season 3 premiered on January 9, 2026, with a 1-hour special episode and included episodes 1 and 2, and concluded with 12 episodes total on March 27, 2026 (single cour). The series aired weekly on Crunchyroll on Thursdays (both subbed and dubbed).

Part 2 of Season 4 (Culling Games) has not been officially announced by MAPPA, Toho, or Crunchyroll as of April 2026. Currently, January 2027 is the earliest expected release date due to fully booked Japanese MBS/TBS slots for the remainder of 2026. Some rumours suggest a fall 2027 or later release would be possible to meet production scheduling needs, while season 2’s broadcast timing suggests it will not be during summer 2026.

Further information could come from AnimeJapan 2026 or MAPPA events. Production continues with “To Be Continued” at the end of the season 3 finale.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 2: Story

The first half of the Culling Game arc from the manga (i.e., the first half of season 3) will be adapted in the next season, while the second half will be adapted through the time of the Shinjuku Showdown (the manga lasts all the way to chapter 271). The Shibuya Incident was what forced Kenjaku (who, you’ll remember, is in the body of Geto) to initiate the Culling Game, where awakened/non-sorcerers will have to kill each other to create enough cursed energy that will help evolve humanity for Tengen’s merging process! This was done so he could rescue his sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro (who didn’t want to be a participant), gain enough points to add rules to the game in hopes of being able to save his friends or escape the game, free Satoru Gojo from the Prisoner Realm, and stop Kenjaku’s plans.

In season 3, we were introduced to several colonies (Tokyo, Sendai, etc.) and the new players (Hakari, Kashimo, Higuruma, and the other threats specific to their colony) in the Culling Game. Many of the same themes of barriers, domain expansion, and Jujutsu evolution will drive the development of the story through the climax of the battles in the next season (season 4).

In season 4 (the conclusion of the Culling Game arc), the intensity and complexity of the battles will increase; we will see major character/plot developments related to Maki’s growth, Yuta’s role in the Culling Game, and Hakari’s games; the manipulation of rules; and huge confrontations with reincarnated heavy hitters (Yorozu, Ishigori, Uro) will create the basis for the Culling Game arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 2: Cast details

The core cast returns, with many new additions for Culling Game characters introduced in Part 1 (and more expected in Part 2).

Main Japanese Voice Actors (returning/new for S3):

Yuji Itadori: Junya Enoki

Megumi Fushiguro: Yuma Uchida

Satoru Gojo: Yuichi Nakamura

Nobara Kugisaki: Asami Seto

Yuta Okkotsu: Megumi Ogata

Maki Zenin: Mikako Komatsu

Panda: Tomokazu Seki

Choso: Daisuke Namikawa

Kinji Hakari: Kazuya Nakai (new)

Others: Yuki Tsukumo (Noriko Hidaka), Tengen (Yoshiko Sakakibara), etc.

New/Supporting in Season 3 (Japanese):

Fumihiko Takaba (Satoshi Tsuruoka), Hiromi Higuruma (Tomokazu Sugita), Reggie Star (Yutaka Aoyama), Hajime Kashimo (Ryohei Kimura), Naoya Zenin (Koji Yusa), Ryū Ishigori (Hiroki Tōchi), Takako Uro (Nana Mizuki), etc.

English Dub (Crunchyroll, returning):

Yuji: Adam McArthur

Megumi: Robbie Daymond

Gojo: Kaiji Tang

Nobara: Anne Yatco

Yuta: Kayleigh McKee

Maki: Allegra Clark

And others like Ray Chase (Choso), etc. New roles (e.g., Alan Lee as Naoya) were cast for Season 3.

Staff: Directed by Shōta Goshozono (returning), series composition by Hiroshi Seko.
