Filming began in late March of 2026 in the area just outside of London. Normally, it takes at least 8 months of filming and a good amount of time after that to do the post-production. Historically, there have been anywhere from a year and a half to a two-year window between the release of the seasons, the last season released in early 2026.

Showrunner Jess Brownell has stated that they will try to maintain or improve their average release timelines between seasons to between 18 months, where they can, and that most of the script work is done already. Speculation points toward a likely release sometime in late 2027 or early 2028, possibly being broken into two parts as has been done in the past few seasons. The official log line for this season is, The season is centered around the introverted middle daughter of the Bridgerton family — Francesca (Hannah Dodd) — and as a widow she is pragmatic and enters the marriage mart to ensure potential future security; however when she is confronted with feelings (both good and bad) towards John Stirling’s cousin(s) in England (Michaela Stirling), she questions her original intentions and embraces her personal desires—this creates tension as she must learn to embrace both her past lifestyle of solitude as well as her newfound interests in society.

This is based on the sixth book of Julia Quinn’s When He Was Wicked (the book’s story is about Francesca), where Francesca’s love interest has been gender-swapped (Michael has become Michaela’s) and provides for an “sapphic” storyline. Much of the storyline comes from previous seasons—you will see how Francesca has been identified as being quiet in nature, married to John, and how Michaela is introduced. There will be themes of grief, second chances, as well as s*xual desires, and what society expected of people living in Regency England. The length of the season will be the same as the previous (eight episodes).

The series is not in the strict order of the books, nor was Benedict’s seasonal episode order following Benedict’s childhood collection; hence, season 6 is likely to focus on Eloise.

Fans from around the world can’t wait for the next installment of Bridgerton, which has been building up to be…

[71
34280
post-114002","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ott","tag-bridgerton-season-5
["GET
