United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak sacked Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, for her comments on the police forces being too lenient with the pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel demonstrators.<\/p>\n
The government informs that Braverman left her job as part of Cabinet shuffle as Sunak shakes up his top government team.<\/p>\n
Braverman stated, \u201cit has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve as home secretary,\u201d adding that she would \u201chave more to say in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n
She was replaced by James Cleverly, who had been foreign secretary and was one of first top global officials to visit Israel after the October 7 massacre.<\/p>\n
Braverman, who happens to be a divisive figure popular with the authoritarian wing of the governing Conservative, was criticised and accused for heightening tensions during weeks of contentious pro-Palestinian protests in Britain. It has created pressure on Sunak.<\/p>\n
In an article, wrote by Braverman, for Times of London, she said police \u201cplay favourites when it comes to protestors\u201d and claimed that they have acted in a much more lenient way towards pro-Palestinians and Black Lives Matter supporters than to right-wing protestors or soccer hooligans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
