Fury Warriors in World of Warcraft have gotten a big transmog change in the Midnight Pre-Expansion Update. They can now transmog one-handed weapons, including daggers, on their two-handed weapons. This change was not mentioned in the patch notes but is now live in the game.<\/p>\n
The update added a new trait called Titan\u2019s Grip: Single-Minded Fury. It lets Fury Warriors keep the mechanics of dual-wielding two-handed weapons while using one-handed weapon appearances. That means players can now show off popular weapons like the Warglaives of Azzinoth or Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker on their two-handers.<\/p>\n
Daggers no longer count as a separate weapon type. They can now be transmogged into one-handed swords, fist weapons, or other items, and the reverse is also possible. Fury Warriors benefit from this, but so do many other classes. Rogues gain the most, as Assassination and Subtlety Rogues are no longer stuck using daggers for transmogs, and Outlaws can now wield them cosmetically. Other classes gaining new transmog flexibility include Druids, Evokers, Hunters, Mages, Priests, Shamans, Warlocks, and Warriors.<\/p>\n
The Midnight Pre-Patch also improved the Transmog system overall. Players can now create Outfits to automatically switch gear appearances without visiting a transmog vendor. They can save multiple loadouts and even swap between them using the new Situations feature. This lets you automatically change appearances in certain places, when entering water, visiting housing districts, joining instances, or transforming into Worgen or Dracthyr forms.<\/p>\n
Transmogs are usually free during the Trial of Style event, so many players may wait until March 20 to make most of their appearance changes.<\/p>\n
The next big request from players is the removal of armor class restrictions. Final Fantasy 14 recently allowed this, letting characters mix and match armor freely, and it was very popular. Blizzard has kept class silhouettes in mind but has started experimenting with Trading Post, event, and cash shop sets.
