He basically told them to either support his ideas or let him go. The club leaders decided it was time for him to leave so they could try to finish the season in a better position.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">The main problem was a disagreement over how the team should play and who should buy new players. Amorim wanted to keep using his own specific system, but the club bosses wanted him to be more flexible. He also felt that the scouts and directors were not doing their jobs well enough. This caused a lot of stress behind the scenes. Even though United is currently in sixth place, the leaders felt they needed a change to keep moving forward.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Since the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson retired years ago, Manchester United has struggled to find the right leader. The club is looking for someone to take over for the rest of the season. <span class=\"citation-74 citation-end-74\">They have already talked to former favorites like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick about coming back to help.<\/span> In the summer, they hope to find a permanent manager who can finally bring success back to the team.
